Obituary

Yolande M. (Louis-Jeune) Stuppard, 75, died Monday, February 14, at the home of her daughter after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Charles R. Stuppard, Sr. Born in Haiti, she was raised and educated in Haiti. While in Haiti, she worked as a stenographer. Mrs. Stuppard immigrated to the United States in 1975 and settled in Jamaica Plain, where she made her home for over 35 years. She was a homemaker. She was dedicated to her church and mission work. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her eight children; Nancy Leung of Wayland, Roselys Santucci of Rutland, Pamela G. Stuppard of Jamaica Plain, Charles R. Stuppard Jr., of FL, Jean-Marc Stuppard of Boston, Betsy Stuppard-Kruger of Stoughton, Magalie Scott of GA and Andy Stuppard of Mattapan. She was the sister of Marie Marthe Martis of Peabody, Solanges Loyer of RI, Elysee Louis-Jeune and Gladys Luceus of GA, Erita Louis-Jeune of FL and the late Homer Louis-Jeune. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the Jubilee Church, 1278 Park St., Stoughton on Friday at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
