Obituary

LYNN - Richard A. “Hoagie” Malick, 82, of Lynn, died Sunday morning, February 13, 2011 at his home following a long illness.

Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Dora (Robinson) Malick. He resided in Saugus and Revere but was a resident of Lynn for most of his life.

For many years, Mr. Malick owned and operated Hoagies, a sandwich shop which was located on Revere Beach Blvd., in Revere. He later owned Richie’s Place in Lynn.

He is survived by his long time companion, Meredith Berg of Lynn, 2 sisters-in-law, Marilyn Malick of Randolph, Muriel Malick of Framingham, 4 nieces, Eleanor Malick of Arlington, Deborah Perry and Elizabeth Conlon, both of West Bridgewater and Sherri Garber of Framingham. He was the brother of the late Herbert Malick and Edward Malick.
