Stephanie Murach, 86, of New Bedford died Saturday February 12, 2011 at home after a brief illness.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Walter and Leonora (Pulawski) Murach, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a former communicant of St. Hedwig Church.
Miss Murach was formerly employed as a clerk for the Massachusetts Department of Public Works in Taunton for many years until her retirement.
Her family would like to thank Southcoast Hospice and Palliative Care for the loving care shown to Stephanie during her illness.
She is survived by a sister, Bessie Grant of Framingham; a nephew, Edgar C. Scott of Maine; a godchild, Rachel Gonsalves; and her devoted cat, "Lovie". She was also a special "aunt" to the Wignall, Blumlo, and Rounseville families.
She was the sister of the late Alice Scott and godmother of the late John Wignall.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Visitation Tuesday 10-11 AM prior to the service.
