Richard J. McEvoy 61, of Natick and Meredith NH, died Saturday February 12 2011 at the Metro West Medical Center in Natick.
He was the beloved husband of Cheryl M (Lockhart) McEvoy.
Born in Natick and a lifelong resident he was the son of the late Henry J and Eleanor V (McCarthy) McEvoy.
Mr. McEvoy was employed by the Town of Framingham School Department for 21 years retiring in 2009.
He previously worked for General Motors in Framingham and at Diehls in Wellesley.
Mr. McEvoy enjoyed NASCAR and the year round outdoor sports of the Lake Winnipesaukee region especially boating and snowmobiling with family and friends.
Mr. McEvoy was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He attended the Natick School System and was a graduate of Natick High School class of 1967.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two devoted sons, Robert J. McEvoy and his wife Jennifer of Milford, James R. McEvoy and his wife Ariane of Natick, one brother Alan McEvoy and his wife Norma of Wayland, one sister Barbara Keough and her husband Walter of Fl, three grandchildren Erin, Ryan and Kayleigh, his mother-in-law Claire Lockhart of Natick and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday February 16 at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick’s Church at 10:00 A.M.
Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Internment St Patrick Cemetery.
