MILLBURY/JEFFERSON-David F. Mills, Sr, 79, formerly of Jefferson, died Friday, February 11 at Millbury Healthcare Center. He was predeceased by his wife of 30 years, Sophia (Koleshis) Mills in 2002. He leaves a daughter Leslie J. Daniels and her husband Robert Daniels, Jr. of Spencer; a son David F. Mills, Jr. of Baltimore, MD, five grandchildren and his former wife, Joan Mills of Jefferson. He was predeceased by a daughter Pamela A. Wood in 2002, a brother Russell Mills and a sister Barbara Mills.
He was born in Worcester, son of Russell S. and Margaret (Shaughnessy) Mills and graduated from South High School and Worcester Junior College. Mr. Mills worked as a draftsman for Lodding Engineering, Co. for many years. He enjoyed baseball and was a Red Sox fan.
The funeral will be held on Monday, February 14 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street with a 10:00 AM Mass at St. John’s Church, 40 Temple Street, Worcester. Entombment will follow in St. John’s Mausoleum. A visiting hour will also be held on Monday, from 8:30–9:30 AM in the funeral home.
