Mr. Thomas Buckley Jr. age 70 a lifelong Medford resident, died Wednesday in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. He is the husband of Jean (Anderson) Buckley with whom he shared more than 47 years of marriage. Mr. Buckley was born in Winchester, MA, the son of the late General Thomas L Sr. and Esta (Manning) Buckley, He is a graduate of Medford High School, class of 1959. He worked as a Gourmet Chef, employed in the catering trade. He could also be called an entrepreneur, and was instrumental in the creation of a company called Cheese & Cheer. His major occupation in earlier years was as a salesman in the liquor and wine industry working for Federal Distillers formerly of Somerville. Mr. Buckley was a former member of the Somerville City Club and the Medford Elks. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family times in the lake home in Laconia NH. On Lake Opeechee. He was considered a “Mr. Fix it” and a bit of a Jack of All Trades.
In addition to his wife He is survived by two daughters, : Kristen Dello Russo of Malden, Carolyn Missert and her husband Paul of Reading and a son Eddie Buckley and his wife Wendy of Stonehan. Beloved grandfather of Christopher, Kevin and Kyle Missert and Molly Buckley, Dear brother of Brenda Delaney and her husband George of FL, Norma Erwin and her husband Bill of LA. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street MEDFORD on Monday at 9:00 am. Funeral Mass in St. Raphael Church 512 High Street Medford at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
