Peter E. Grant age 49 of West Bridgewater died unexpectedly on Tuesday February 8, 2011. He was the loving husband of Kathleen M.(Meaney) Grant. Born and raised in East Bridgewater a son of the late John and Mabel (Leland) Grant, Peter was a 1979 graduate of East Bridgewater High and 1983 graduate of Notre Dame. He had resided in West Bridgewater since 1988.
A CPA by profession, Peter had worked at FTI Consulting in Boston and previously at the Boston Globe for almost 20 years. He was a member of the Board of Trustees of Bridgewater Savings Bank and sat on its Audit Committee. He was also very active in West Bridgewater town boards and sports programs. Peter was an avid reader and enjoyed Notre Dame sports, biking and traveling.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his three children Katherine E., Christina E. and Zachary R. Grant all of West Bridgewater. He leaves his sister Elizabeth Baldwin of Southampton, MA and two brothers Jay Grant of Southampton, MA and Mark Grant of Raynham. He also leaves several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St (Rte 123) Brockton Friday 4-8 pm. Funeral Mass in Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase St., So. Easton Saturday at 10am. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Peter’s name may be made to the Donald A.
