Florence M. (Cowham) Connolly, of Winchester, passed away on Feb. 8, 2011. She was the beloved wife for 53 years of the late Joseph M. Connolly (late Lt. WFD). Born in New Rochelle, NY, Florence was the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Catherine Ann (Dobbins) Cowham and was a 1935 graduate of Woburn High School. She taught ceramics for 25 years in Woburn and Winchester and sold some of her artwork through the Holy Redeemer Church in Chatham and also had buyers throughout the world. Besides ceramics, her other hobbies included wood painting, sewing, crocheting, playing piano, gardening and reading. Mrs. Connolly always expressed her love for her neighbors in the sense that they made life interesting. . She was the loving mother of Michael J. and Joel P, both of Woburn, Kevin E. of Dunstable, Karen M. King of Wakefield and the late Joanna K. Mercurio.She enjoyed and was proud of her children Dear sister of Ruth McLatchy of AZ and the late Irene E Brace and Raymond Cowham. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held in the Costello Funeral Home 177 Washington St., Winchester on Sat., Feb. 12 @ 10AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting Hours are Fri. 4-8PM.
