Brian J. Carne, 52, of Windham, NH, died Monday February 7, 2011 in the Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA. He was born in Utica, NY on November 20, 1958, a son of Bryan and Joan Carne and had been a resident of Windham since 1995, formerly living in Andover, MA and Concord, MA. Brian received his Bachelors degree from the University of Mass. He was an active member of St. Matthew's Parish in Windham, where he was a member of the Men of St. Joseph's. Brian enjoyed coaching baseball and soccer, and enjoyed spending time with his children.
In addition to his parents of Peterborough, NH, he is survived by one son, John Carne of Windham; two daughters, Kathryn "Katie" Carne, and Elizabeth "Libby" Carne both of Windham; three brothers, John Carne and his wife Pat of E. Greenwich, RI, Michael Carne of Los Angeles, CA, and Kevin Carne of Peterborough; one sister, Margaret "Maggie" Carne of Naperville, IL. In addition to his three children, he leaves behind several nieces and nephews: Jennifer Carne, Chris Carne, Danny Carne, Michael Carne, Matt Carne and Ben Carne; all of whom he loved and cherished. He was a devoted Father, loving family member and friend, who was equally loved by all. He treasured his time and relationships with his children, family, friends and everyone he came in contact with.
Calling hours were held on Thursday, February 10th from 4:00 - 7:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday at 10:00am in St. Matthews Church, Searles Rd., Windham. The burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in Peterborough in the Spring.
