Vincent R. “Vinny” Buscanera, Sr., 70 of Somerville, MA, died Sunday after a brief illness.
Born in Boston, he lived in Somerville for the past 40 years and formerly of Tewksbury. Vincent was a Purchasing Agent, employed by NECCO in Revere for 50 years and retired in 2010.
He was a member of the Sons of Italy formerly of the Wilmington lodge.
Former husband of Carol (Orlando) of Haverhill. Devoted father of Karen M. Couillard of Haverhill, Vincent R. Buscanera Jr. of Windham, NH, Michael P. Buscanera and his wife Heidi of Baldwinville, and the late Richard A. Buscanera. Also survived by 9 loving grandchildren and 2 loving great grandchildren. Cherished son of Antonette (Marino) of Somerville and the late Vincent R. Buscanera. Brother of Marie Silvestri, Janet Galvin and her husband Dennis all of Somerville. Loving companion of Teresa Jones of Townsend. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and many special friends.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. William Church, 1351 Main St., Tewksbury, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
