Obituary

Manchester-Philip LaSalle, 83, died February 7, 2011 at the Elliot Hospital after a sudden illness.
He was born in Hooksett on July 7, 1927 the son of Herbert J. and Leona (Lafond) LaSalle and had been a resident of Manchester most of his life.
He was a graduate of Concord High School. He served in the US Navy for 3 years and retired from the Air Force Reserve after 29 year of service as a Senior Master Sergeant. Prior to working as a Mail Carrier for the US Postal Service for 37 years he worked for Railway Mail Service for 9 years.
He held membership in the American Legion Post # 37 in Hooksett and the Work Out Club.
Members of his family include his wife of 60 years Jeanne (Desrochers) LaSalle of Manchester, one son John P. LaSalle of Manchester, two daughters Mrs. Michael (Janice) Morin of Manchester and Mrs. Randy (Patrice) Helie of Londonderry, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, one sister Rachel Bourque of Nashua and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There are no calling hours.
SERVICES: A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church. Inurnment will be in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Blessed Sacrament Food Pantry, 14 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03103.
