Obituary

WORCESTER-Dorothy R. (DeVault) Dunlop, 94, of Marble Street and formerly of Cherry Valley died Sunday, February 6th in the Lutheran Home. Her husband, Wilson Dunlop, Jr. died in 1965. She leaves two sons, Ronald G. Dunlop of Worcester and Timothy J. Dunlop of Ormond Beach, FL; three brothers, Warren DeVault of Hudson, Arthur H. DeVault of Webster and Kenneth DeVault of Oxford; a sister, Earline Poirier of Vallejo, CA; nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Gerald A. Dunlop and a stepson, William Dunlop.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Arthur M. and Ruth E. (Ahlstrand) DeVault. Dorothy worked at the former Kennedys and Eddy’s of Park Avenue. She was a member of Saint Peter’s Church and a former member of Saint Joseph’s Church and of the former Cherry Valley Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 443.
Family members are invited to attend the funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will be in Saint John’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Boys Town, P.O. Box 6000, Boys Town, NE 68010. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
