DUDLEY - Theodore F. “Teddy” Misiaszek, 89, of Dudley, died Saturday, February 5, 2011 at home surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife of 61 years, Emily M. (Szkutak) Misiaszek; 2 daughters, Patricia A. Fournier and her husband Paul J. Fournier of Webster, and Mary A. Kolodziejczak and her husband David F. Kolodziejczak of Dudley; 4 grandchildren, Michael Kolodziejczak and his wife Jenn of Dudley, Jeffrey Fournier and his wife Lauren of Millbury, Sarah Shaw and her husband Brian Shaw of Putnam, CT, and Kristin Kolodziejczak and her fiancé Shane Schimki of Leicester; 3 great granddaughters, Kristyn, Emily and Kalie; a brother, Walter Misiaszek and his wife Theresa of East Brookfield; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and by 1 sister.
He was born and raised in West Warren, a son of John and Mary (Marciniec) Misiaszek. He lived in Dudley since his marriage in 1949.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving as a staff sergeant.
Mr. Misiaszek was a back tender at Cranston Print Works Company in Webster for 28 years before retiring in 1986.
He was a communicant of Saint Andrew Bobola Church and a life member of the Webster Polish American Veterans. He enjoyed golfing, doing jigsaw puzzles and playing cards. He was an ardent fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, February 9, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will perform the military honors at the cemetery. Calling hours will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 8, in the funeral home. Donations in his name may be made to St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main St., PO Box 98, Dudley, MA 01571-0098.
