Violet (Fournier) Gallant, a resident of Lawrence, MA,
passed away on Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Lawrence General Hospital.
Born in Lawrence, Violet was educated in the Lawrence School system. She had worked at Raytheon in Andover for some 21 years retiring in 1994. Prior to that she had worked in many of the local shoe shops. Violet enjoyed playing bingo, trips to Foxwoods, going to the theatre, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
The daughter of the late George and Ruth (Oliver) Fournier, and the wife of the late Clifford J. Gallant, members of Violet's family include:

daughters: Linda Beaulieu and her husband Claude and RuthAnn Dube and her husband Ronald all of Lawrence. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Lynn, Sherri, Lisa, and James Beaulieu, and Ronnie and Shannon Dube as well as eight great grandchildren, her sisters: Jane Accatino and her husband Charles of Connecticut, and Betty Lou Esposito of Rhode Island.
She is also survived by a brother: George Fournier of North Carolina, and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks goes to her granddaughter Lisa Beaulieu for being her caretaker for the last 5 months.
A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 9:00 A.M at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence. Burial will follow at the Bellevue Cemetery, also in Lawrence. Family and friends may call on Monday, February 7, 2011 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
