Thomas Joseph Sheehan, III, 73 of Chester, NH and formerly of Lynn, MA died Thursday February 3, 2011 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester following a period of declining health. He was born January 12, 1938 in East Dorchester, MA. and was the son the late Thomas J., Jr. and Sarah (Donahue) Sheehan. He was raised and educated in Lynn, and was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Lynn. Mr. Sheehan spent most of his working life with Cressy-Dockham Co. of North Andover, MA as a warehouseman, and was a member of Teamsters Local No. 42 of Lynn. He was also a member of Masonic Star King Lodge of Salem, MA, and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Salem, MA. He enjoyed all sports, history, old time radio, and classical music. He will long be remembered as a loving son, husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family.
Mr. Sheehan was predeceased by his beloved wife of 36 years, Carole V. (Danskin) Sheehan in 2005.
Other members of the family include six children, Carrie Hadik and her husband Christopher of Chester, NH, Mark Danskin and his wife Susan of Dracut, MA, Lynda Gayle Stanton, and her husband Richard of Fletcher, OK, Thomas Sheehan, IV and his wife Caryn of Northwood, and Jennifer and Diane Sheehan. seven grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a sister, Joan Defelece and her husband Don Armstrong of New Port Ritchie, FL,. as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Following cremation, a memorial reception was held Monday, February 7th from 6 to 8pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street Derry, NH. A memorial service was held on Tuesday at 10am in the funeral Home.
