ROCKINGHAM: Mr. William "Bill" Ross McDaniel, 66, of 1093 Airport Rd., Rockingham, died Thursday, February 3, 2011 in his home.
A memorial service will be held at 5:oo PM on Saturday, February 5, in the Joy Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor June Grant officiating. Internment will be private.
Bill was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on January 31, 1945. He served in the US Navy and retired from the maintenance department at Burlington Industries.
He is survived by a stepson, Melvin Bean, Jr. of Laurinburg; stepdaughters, Lynn King of Rockingham, Melinda Conner of Pinebluff, Ladonna Brigman of Hoffman, Sue Goulden of Cordova; a sister, Faye Potter of Springfield, TN; and several step-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at Joy Freewill Baptist Church.
