78, Peachtree City, GA, passed away peacefully at home January 31, 2011.
Born in Louisville March 31, 1932 to the late Jacob S. Newman and Bertha Lawrence Newman; Esther was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She attended the Louisville Girls High School and later earned her real estate broker's license.
She was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband, Elbert R.Bowles; and her dear sister, Rosa Newman Lorch. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Katherine Knight Shumate of Eugene Oregon; sons, Edward L. Knight, Jr of Dacula, GA, Richard L. Knight of Peachtree City, GA; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2011, Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd. Private Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Funeral Home.
