Betty Jean Marion, age 69, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Grenada Lake Medical Center, Grenada, MS. Betty was born on November 15, 1942 in Coffeeville, MS to the late Earl Marion and Louise B. Hoskins Marion. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, and she loved and cared for many children during her life.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Zion Springs Baptist Church in Bruce, MS. Funeral services will follow visitation at 11:00 AM with Rev. Tommy Daniels officiating. Interment will be in the Zion Springs Cemetery.
She is survived by five sisters, Stella Collins of Memphis, TN, Susie Flemons of Coffeeville, MS, Shirley Malone of Senatobia, MS, Mary Steen (Sammy) of Jackson, MS and Mattie Sims of Water Valley, MS; four brothers, Robert Marion (Louise), James Marion (Elizabeth), Tommy Marion (Edna), John T. Marion (Rosie) and Perry Marion (Brenda) all of Coffeeville, MS; a host of relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Lee.
