Marian J. Giarrizzo, 92 of Somerville, died Friday after a brief illness in the Kindred Hospital North Shore, Peabody, MA.
Born in East Boston, she lived in Somerville all her life and was the daughter of the late Augusta (Bellissima) and Carmello Giarrizzo.
Marian was an Accountant with Sears in Cambridge for several years and retired at the age of 70 in 1989. She was the oldest daughter of Camello Giarrizzo, he and his brother Lawrence were the sculptures and final bronze finishers of the Paul Revere stature in the North End of Boston. Marian loved to spend summers in New England and winters in Florida.
Devoted sister of Ann Stanley of Saugus, Mae Gill of Lynn, Gloria Lanna of Milford, CT, Camille Elwertowski of Cranford, NJ and the late Joseph and Vito Giarrizzo. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Catherine of Genoa Church, 179 Summer St., Somerville, at 11 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Monday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
