In Raynham, January 26, 2011 Harold “Hank” F. Sweeney, age 89 passed away after a period of failing health in the Lifecare Center of Rayham. He was the husband of the late Doris (Bertwice) Sweeney. Harold was born in West Brookfield, MA to his late parents Charles E. & Eleanor (O’Connell) Sweeney. Harold has lived in Raynham for the past 57 years. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. Harold was a graduate of Brockton High School and from Wentworth Institute in Boston. He was an engineer for the General Electric Co. Harold was a member of the Raynham Camera Club, American Legion, a volunteer at the Raynham Food Basket, formerly in the C.C.C.’s in Vermont, enjoyed photography where he had won many contest, was a champion swimmer, made replica Civil War black powder guns, loved camping and cherished the time he spent with his family. Harold is survived by his children; Donna Mosco & her husband Thomas of Derry, NH., Harold Sweeney of Taunton and Charles Sweeney of Raynham. His grandchildren; Thomas Mosco of CA, James Sweeney of East Bridgewater, Aimee Mosco of CA and his great grandchild Marco Capobianco of CA. His late siblings; Alice Carlson and John and Paul Sweeney. Harold also leaves several nieces and nephews. Harold and his family would also like to thank all the care givers that were always there to lend their support. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. Taunton, MA 02780 on Tuesday, February 1st at 10 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann’s Chruch in Raynham at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday from 6-8 pm. Interment in the family lot in Pleasant St. Cemetery in Raynham. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Berkley Congregational Church, 13 South Main St., Berkley, Ma. 02779
