Stone, Giselle A. (LaPorta) of Woburn formerly of Stoneham, January 27th. Former wife of David Stone of Peabody. Loving companion of William Robertson of Wakefield. Beloved and devoted mother of Denielle Babey and her husband George of Maynard, and Philip Stone of Woburn. Cherished daughter of Leonarda (Ortisi) LaPorta of Woburn and the late Rosario LaPorta. Sister of Antonio “Nino” LaPorta of Woburn, Fab LaPorta of Hubbardston, Michael LaPorta of Woburn, the late Frank and Bob LaPorta. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN Tuesday, February 1st, at 9 a.m. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 100 Washington St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Giselle A. Stone, of Woburn passed away January 27th, following a short and courageous battle with lung cancer. She was 51 years of age. Born in Augusta, Sicily, She was the cherished daughter of Leonarda (Ortisi) LaPorta of Woburn and the late Rosario LaPorta. She was the loving companion of William Robertson of Wakefield and the former wife of David Stone of Peabody.

Giselle was a Woburn resident for the past seven years and formerly resided in Wakefield and Stoneham for many years. She emigrated with her family to the United States from Sicily in May of 1968. She worked for over twenty-five years as a pharmacy technician and most recently was employed at the CVS Pharmacy in Winchester. Mostly devoted to her loving family, Giselle enjoyed traveling to the islands of the Caribbean and spending time during the summer months in Nova Scotia with her longtime companion where they one day hoped to run a bed and breakfast inn.

In addition to her mother and longtime companion, Giselle is survived by her devoted children, Philip Stone of Woburn, and Denielle Babey and her husband George of Maynard. She is also survived by her brothers, Antonio "Nino" LaPorta of Woburn, Fab LaPorta of Hubbardston, Michael LaPorta of Woburn and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers, the late Frank and Bob LaPorta.
