Jerry Harper, age 62, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Harper is the son of Dempsey and Claryce Veal Harper born on October 14, 1947 in Douglas, GA. Mr. Harper was preceded in death by sisters: Linda Faye McDonald and Shirley Harper Graham. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 at Sims Funeral Home, Saturday 29, 2011. Survivors: wife: Carla Harper, son: Gunnery Sgt. Christopher (Melissa) Harper, 5 grandchildren, 2 uncles, 3 brothers in law, several nieces and nephews.
