PAXTON – Homer L. Granger, 86, formerly of 4 Meadowbrook Drive died Saturday, January 3 in Autumn Village Nursing Home.
His wife Anne (Wood) Granger died in 1999. He leaves four sons William C. of Hollywood, FL, James R. and Daniel H. both of Worcester, Paul D. of Falmouth; a daughter Julianne Harney of Paxton; a brother Rochleau Granger of Leicester; a sister Antoinette Lavallee of Spencer; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was born in Worcester son of Rochleau and Florence (LaPorte) Granger.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II as a Pharmacist Mate serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He worked as a security guard for Digital for 15 years and at Crompton and Knowles for many years as a safety supervisor. He enjoyed bowling and golfing.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 7 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond Street, Worcester with a mass at 10:30 am in St. Columba’s Church, 18 Richards Ave., Paxton. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will on Wednesday, January 7 from 9 to 10 am in the funeral home.
