Malkin, William “Bill”, 90 of Malden and formerly of Everett passed away on January 24, 2011. Bill was born in Brooklyn, NY and attended the New York school system. Bill was raised during the very difficult Great Depression Era. He was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High school in Brooklyn. Bill was a WWII United States Army veteran. He was a part of the 7th wave in Normandy, France and served in the Philippines. Bill was a long time employee of I.J. Fox. He was a proud member of the Jewish War Veterans Lt. Carl Stein Post #187 in Everett. Bill was a very avid reader and always looked forward to going to the library every Saturday.
Beloved husband of Jeannette (Richey) Malkin. Devoted father of Jeffrey Malkin, Debbie Smith, and Lesley Bielawski and her husband Dr. Martin. Dear brother of Jack Malkin, May Millstein and her husband Edward. Loving grandfather of Joshua and Jason. Also survived by his nephews Marc Feldman and Corey Warn.
Services at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave., Cary Sq., Chelsea on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Everett. Donations in his memory may be made to American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St. 5th floor Boston, MA 02210.
