In Lakeville, of Taunton, January 24, 2011 Barbara M. (Quagan) Parker beloved wife of Leon R. Parker of fifty six years died at Island Terrace Nursing Home in Lakeville at the age of 78. Born in Taunton and educated in Taunton schools, Barbara was the daughter of the late John and Lena (Dion) Quagan. Barbara was the mother of seven daughters Linda Gray and her husband Mark of Webster, Paula McDonough and her husband Robert of Bridgewater, Robin Rheaume and her husband John of South Dartmouth, Brenda Pacheco and her late husband Luiz of Taunton, Leona Hooben and her husband Lawrence of Raynham, Norma Jean Cardin and her husband Charles of Taunton and the late Michelle Parker. Sister of Madeline Woodward and her late husband Ralph of Titusville, Fl, Frances Quagan and his wife Betty of Warwick, RI, and the late Richard Quagan and his surviving wife Dorothy Quagan of Bridgewater. Grandmother of fifteen grandchildren and one great grandson. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. A service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Monday, January 31st at 11 am. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5-8 pm.
