Barnstable, MA. - Sandra (Mota) Barrett, age 36 years, died Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Cape Cod Hospital after being involved in a pedestrian/motor vehicle accident. She was the wife of Tyrone Barrett Sr. of Yarmouth Port.
Sandra was the mother of Jena Mota, Shakira Duarte, Na’jaeh Barrett, and Tyjon Barrett III all of Yarmouth Port. Mrs. Barrett was the sister of Luis Mota of Dartmouth and Richard Mota of North Carolina. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Mota was the daughter of Hirondina (Duarte) Mota of Dartmouth and the late Jose P. Mota. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area most her life. Mrs. Barrett was employed as a staffing specialist at Select Staffing in Bourne MA., and also worked at Hearth and Kettle as a server.
Mrs. Barrett’s funeral will be Friday at 8 A.M. at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will be at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday from 5 - 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
