North Andover, MA – Marie A. Lamond, 85, died Tuesday January 25, 2011 at the Prescott House Nursing Home in North Andover.
Marie was born in Lawrence the daughter of Matthias and Margaret T. (Higgins) Lamond. A longtime resident of Lawrence, Marie had been employed as a Secretary with Belair and Zipeto Attorneys at Law in Lawrence, Ma.
Growing up in Lawrence, Marie was a graduate of Saint Patrick’s grammar and high school, and was a communicant of Saint Patrick’s Church.
A graduate of Maryknoll College, Marie served as a Maryknoll Missionary for many years in Nicaragua, and Mexico.
Survivors include her brother and sister-inlaw John F. and Claire (McGravey) Lamond of Lawrence, nieces and nephews Maryann Mulcahey, John T. Lamond, Mark Lamond, Marie Levesque, and Joanne Lamond.
Marie was predeceased by her brother Thomas J. Lamond.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend A Mass of Christian Burial on Monday morning at 11 o’clock in Saint Patrick’s Church of South Lawrence with burial to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover.
At the familys request there will be no calling hours.
