Obituary

Mr. James E. Connerty III, age 77, of Stoneham formerly of Medford died Saturday in Concord Health Care in Concord. He was the husband of Marie (Monaco) Connerty with whom he shared more than 52 years of marriage. They have lived in Stoneham since 1970
Mr. Connerty was born in Medford, the son of the late James E. Jr. and Grace (Keefe) Connerty . Mr. Connerty joined the Navy and fought during the Korean War. He is a graduate of St. John’s High School in Cambridge, class of 1951. After the military, he began working in the building trades and became an electrician. Mr. Connerty was a proud member of I.B.E.W. Local #103. Although thought of as a loving family man, husband, father and grandfather, in earlier years he and his wife enjoyed dancing. He loved animals and fondly remembered his dog “Corey”. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Michael Connerty Sr. of Stoneham and Frank J. Connerty of Wakefield. Grandfather of Michael J. Connerty and Ashley M. Connerty of Salem. Brother of Eleanor Theriault of Natick, Edward Connerty and his wife Alice of Norwell and the late Raymond Connerty. Brother in law of Joseph A. Monaco of Medford, Marcia Connerty of Quincy and the late Gerald C. Monaco and Roger Theriault.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main Street Medford on Friday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
