Juanita Tyson Dix, 87, of Jacksonville, Florida (formerly of Ocilla) died Monday, January 24 at Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida.
Graveside services will be held 2 P.M., Wednesday, January 26 in the Ocilla Cemetery with speaker Bobby Dix officiating. Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Dix was born October 26, 1923 in Ocilla to the late Wiley M. Tyson, Sr. and the late Elsie Harper Tyson. She grew up in Ocilla and graduated from Ocilla High School in 1942. Mrs. Dix was a homemaker who lived most of her life in Ocilla, GA and Jacksonville, FL. She was a member of the Ocilla Baptist Church
Mrs. Dix is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law: Donny & Jennie Dix and Dennis Dix of Jacksonville, FL; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Whiddon Dix, son, David Dix and a brother, Wiley Tyson, Jr.
