Rose M. Belair, 92, a resident of Lawrence, MA. died on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence, MA.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on December 23, 1918 to Walter A. and Louise E. (Arlitt). She was educated in St. Rita's Grammar School and St. Mary's High School in Lawrence. Mrs. Belair was retired from the former Western Electric in North Andover where she worked for 25 years. She was a member Telephone Pioneers, St. Theresa's Rainbow Club, The Methuen Twilighters, and the CWA Retirees Club. She was also a volunteer at the Lawrence Senior Citizen Center. Mrs. Belair was an attendant of St. Monica's Church in Methuen, Massachusetts.
She is the wife of the late Edward A. Belair. She is survived by her son: Robert E. Belair of Waterville Valley, NH, Daughters: Mrs. Carol A. Puga of Plymouth, NH, Ms. Linda Mercier of Methuen, MA. Sisters: Clare Budrevich of Methuen, MA and Peggy Rochette of Methuen, MA. as well as 10 grand children and 10 great grand children. As well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by: Her brothers: Wilfred H. McAvoy, Walter "Sonny" J. McAvoy, Sisters: Rita Blackington, Catherine E. King, Louise Doyle, Doris Little.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 10:00AM at the funeral home. A burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
