Alicia D. (Desmarais) Hinse, 93, of Manchester died January 22, 2011 at Maple Leaf Health Care Center after a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on March 4, 1917 to Roch and Marie Louise (Letendre) Desmarais. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Mrs. Hinse worked at J.F. McElwain Shoe Company in Manchester for many years. She volunteered at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Manchester for 16 years.
She was married to Marcel Hinse, who died in 1992.
IN HER LIFE: The family includes four children, Claire Palmer of Weymouth, MA, Donald Palmer and his wife, Lizzie, of Madison, AL, Robert Palmer of Roxbury, MA and Marcelle Bryant and her husband, Dave, of Rochester; five grandchildren, Liza Jorgensen and her husband, Claus, Desiree Palmer, Aaron Palmer, Keith Russell and Jennifer Driscoll; five great grandchildren, Helene, Sofia, Lucas, Dylan and Ashlyn; two sisters, Madeleine Morin and Cecilia Melanson both of Manchester; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
