SPENCER: Diana L. (Chace) Bergin 63, of Wilson Ave., died Tuesday, Jan. 18 in Overlook Masonic Healthcare in Charlton after a long illness.
She leaves her husband of 41 years, Edward B. Bergin, her son Steven V. Bergin and his wife Rebecca of Auburn, her daughter Maureen A. Flynn of Leicester, her mother Anita I. (Dumont) Chace of Naples, Fl., a brother David Chace and his wife Jane of Falmouth, and her grandson Connor E. Flynn.
Born in Southbridge, she was the daughter of the late Howard E. Chace. She graduated from Southbridge High School, Brigham & Women's School of Nursing (member of its' Sigma Theta Tau), graduate of Worcester State College (and member of its' Alumni Association) and received a Master's Degree (Nurse Practitioner) at the UMASS School of Nursing and was member of its’ Alumni Association. She was a member of the Associate Faculty at UMASS Medical School of Nursing, the Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, and the American Nurses Association.
Diana was a Nurse Practitioner having last worked for Unum Provident Corp. in Worcester. Previously she worked in that position for 25 years at UMASS Memorial Healthcare in Worcester.
