LEICESTER: Dorothy F. Charbonneau 81, formerly of 89 Charles St., Leicester, died Monday, Jan. 17 at her daughter’s home in Avon Park, Fl.
She was the wife of Edward L. Charbonneau who died in 1999. Her first husband Stanley Chase died in 1983. She leaves two daughters Alice C. Pong and her husband Robert of Worcester, and Dorothy J. Stockenberg and her husband Carl of Avon Park, Fl., her son Walter E. Chase of Leicester, 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by sons Stanley E. and Joseph J. Chase, and her brother Edward Lamoureux.
Born in Leicester, she was the daughter of Edward and Dorothy (Chaffee) Lamoureux and lived here until moving to Fla. on July 21, 2007.
She was a member of St. Pius X Church in Leicester. She enjoyed knitting, reading and cooking.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Jan. 22, from the MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Mass at Noon in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Leicester. Calling hours are Saturday from 10 to 11:30a.m. prior to the service.
