Dorothy Joy Robison, 71, Clarksville, died Thursday, January 20, 2011, at her residence.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday at Hilldale United Methodist Church with Rev. Skip Armistead officiating.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 P.M. Saturday at the church. A commital service will be held 2 P.M. Monday at Beverly Hills Cemetery, Morgantown, West VA.Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born July 24, 1939 in Harrison, OH, daughter of the late Lawrence Roever and Dorothy Wilcox Schild.
Joy was a member of Hilldale United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Founders Sunday School Class and The Rebecca Circle. She was a retired pediatric nurse and was a member of the Christ Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association, MOAA, and the local AARP. In retirement she volunteered with Meals On Wheels, Loaves and Fishes, and The Red Cross.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Art Robison; two daughters, Michelle Robison Chappell (William), Washington, D.C.; and Wendy Joy Robison, New York, NY; a brother, Tim Roever, Blue Jay, OH; a sister, Laurel (Richard) Eckels, Spring Valley, OH; and many other beloved family members.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Founders Sunday School Class.
