Robert J. McDonald, 85, of Pembroke, formerly of Mattapan, died Jan. 19. He was the husband of the late Lillian (Burdulis) McDonald. Beloved father of Linda S. DeRoche and her husband, Larry, of Pembroke; James F. McDonald and his wife, Eileen, of Readville; and Daniel D. McDonald and his wife, Julie, of Bridgewater. Stepfather of Charles Williams and his late wife, Debbie, of Quincy; Judy Gagne and her husband, Philip, of Randolph; and Robert Williams and his wife, Dawner, of Holbrook. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.He was the brother of Daniel McDonald and his wife Alvera of Illinois.
Mr. McDonald served with the US Army Air Corp during WWII. He was a retired employee of the Dept. of Defense.
Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St., Pembroke, on Sat., Jan.22, from 9:30-10:30AM followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Hanson, at 11:00AM.
