WORCESTER-Julian L. Rossetti, 91, formerly of 132 Beaver Brook Parkway, died Wednesday, December 31st in The Meadows of Leicester.His wife of 46 years, Louise (DeStraitis) Rossetti died in 1983. He leaves 4 sons, James Rossetti of Sutton, William Rossetti of Leicester, David Rossetti of Webster and Steven Rossetti of Florence, a daughter, Judith Catullo of Worcester, 5 brothers, Frank Rossetti of Millbury, John, Papino “Joe”, Philip and Alfred “Freddie” Rossetti all of Worcester, 3 sisters, Emma LaPlume, Beatrice Ambrose and Florence Mierzejewski all of Worcester, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. A sister Estelle LaPrade predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester the son of Vincenzo and Dominica (Mangano) Rossetti and has lived here all of his life. Mr. Rossetti was a machinist at Johnson & Basset Company for 25 years, retiring in 1964. He loved to dance and enjoyed gardening.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 6th with a Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to a charity of the donor’s choice.
