Obituary

Mr. Frederic A. DeChristopher, age 89 of Medford died Tuesday in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. He was the husband of the late Helen (Carye) DeChristopher. Born in Malden, son of the late Nickolas and Antoinett (Nastasi) DeChristopher, he is a graduate of Malden High School, class of 1939. He is also a graduate of Northeastern University where he obtained a degree in engineering. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Mr. DeChristopher worked for many years as a Mechanical Engineer for Raytheon Corp. He enjoyed gardening, the Red Sox and spending time at home with his son. He was an avid stamp collector and closely followed the stock market. He is survived by a daughter Linda Coffey and her husband Tom of Averill Park, NY., a son Frederick DeChristopher of Medford, 2 grandchildren Antoinett Dufort and John Coffey of NY., 2 Great Grandchildren Jackson Anthony Dufort and Margaret Pearl Dufort, a brother: Edward DeChristopher and his wife Mary Lou of Medford. Brother of the late Dr. Frank DeChristopher, father of the late Baby DeChristopher, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford on Monday at 12 noon. Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church 118 High Street, Medford, at 12:30 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday prior to Mass from 11-12 Noon. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
