Carver – Geraldine G. Gardiner 93 of Carver, died Tuesday January 18 at the Tremont Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Facility in Wareham after a period of failing health.
Born and raised in Abington she was the daughter of the late Clifford F. and Grace (Burrell) Gardiner and a graduate of Abington High School.
Geraldine worked for the former First National Bank of Boston in Cambridge as a credit supervisor and assistant manager. She later worked for the Thomas J. Lipton Company in New York, as their Divisional Office Manager from which she retired after 37 years.
She is survived by her loving sister Grace E. Gardiner of Carver and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Clifford H. Gardner, Bertha L. Ferris and Shirley B. Gardiner.
The family of Geraldine would like to especially thank all the staff of the Tremont who took such good care of her and for creating such a loving atmosphere during her years there.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday January 22 at 11 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Burial will be at a later date. Visiting hours will be held one hour prior to the service from 10-11 AM. Donations in her name may be made to Save the Children, 54 Wilton Road, Westport, CT 06880.
