Vaughn Ray Harris, of Thompson Station, TN, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011.
Vaughn was born on September 08, 1951 in San Antonio, TX, to Noah M. Harris and Gladys Seidel Harris. He was preceded in death by his father, Noah M. Harris; brother, Glenn Harris; and son, Vaughn Scott Harris.
A graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, Vaughn attended The University of Texas at Austin, where he obtained his degrees in Psychology & Business Management. He went on to complete his MA in Psychology and MBA at Murray State University, after which he spent the next 35 years traveling and working in the footwear industry.
Survivors include his daughter, Emily (Todd) Twiggs of Newport News, VA, and two grandchildren, Noah and Kaelyn; mother, Gladys S. Harris of San Antonio, TX; three brothers, Carl (Jean) Harris of The Woodlands, TX; Ken (Becky) Harris of Selma, TX; and Gordon Harris of San Antonio, TX, as well as many nieces and nephews.
