MANCHESTER-Rita M. Bourque, 89, died January 17, 2011 at Courville at Manchester after a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on October 24, 1921 the daughter of Alexis and Maria (Grenier) Lacasse and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
She volunteered at the Soup Kitchen and Habitat for Humanity for a number of years and was a Huge Blood Donor having the Universal Blood Type.
She enjoyed traveling on elder hostel trips with various friends.
She was predeceased by her first husband Maurice Lefebvre in 1966 and her second husband Charles Bourque in 1988.
Members of her family include one son Marc Lefebvre, MD of Brookline, MA, one daughter Suzanne Lefebvre of Arlington, MA., two grandchildren, four sisters Laurette Bouchard of Sarasota, FL., Liliane MacCallum of Edmonton Alberta, Canada, Theresa Perron of Manchester, Yvette Twohig of West Roxbury, MA., one brother Raymond Lacasse of Concord, several nieces and nephews.
IN HER LIFE: She also leaves two loving grandchildren, Alexis and Stefan.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A memorial mass will be celebrated
Saturday at 11 AM in St. Joseph Cathedral, Pine St.. Burial was in St. Augustin Cemetery.
