TEWKSBURY: Miss Annette Marino, age 54, a resident of Tewksbury for 19 years, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Saints Medical Center in Lowell.
Born in Boston on July 25, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Peter Marino and the late Catherine (Maniscalco) Marino.
Annette was raised in the North End of Boston and attended Boston Schools.
Miss Marino worked for the past 15 years as a crafter for Petal Works, a Division of the Merrimack Valley Special Education Collaborative.
Annette was a member of R.A.R.A. (Retarded Adult Rehabilitation Association of Lowell) , where she participated in numerous activities including dancing, bowling, and playing bingo. In addition, she was a participant in the Massachusetts Special Olympics Program, where she competed in track and field events.
Annette treasured the time spent with her family at the holidays and at family functions.
She is survived by one sister, Stephanie Vultaggio and her husband Jack of Tewksbury; two brothers, Stephen A. Marino and his wife Kathy of Winchester and Gus S. Marion and his wife Barbara of Boynton Beach, FL; also ten nieces and nephews; nineteen great nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours Wednesday, Jan, 19, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will be held Thursday, Jan. 20, at 9 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to R.A.R.A, 295 High Street, Lowell, MA 01852.
