Lorraine Botelho, age 72 of Somerset, passed away Jan. 17, 2011. She was the beloved wife of Richard T. “Dick” Botelho to whom she was married for 50 years and the daughter of the late Frank & Constantina (Braga) Arruda. Prior to retiring, Lorraine worked as a Floor Girl for Various Mills in Fall River. She was a parishioner of St. John of God Church, a member of their Ladies Guild and a member of the Brayton Club. Lorraine was well known for greatly loving her family.
Lorraine was the mother of Richard “Richie” Botelho of Somerset and Patricia Higginbotham of Swansea, sister of the late Hilda Luzitano (husband Lenny) of Somerset, Mary “Mae” Souza (husband Joe) of Swansea, Dorothy Cabral & Constance Francoeur (husband George) all of Fall River, grandmother of Andrew, Justin, & Chelsea Higginbotham.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St., Fall River FRIDAY at 9:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours THURSDAY 4-8 P.M.
