H. Louise (Morissey) Murphy, 91, died peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House on Friday, January 14, 2011. She was the loving wife of the late Danvers Fire Lt. William F. Murphy, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.
Born in New Bedford on Oct. 26, 1919, Louise was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Holten High School. She was a lifelong Danvers resident.
Louise enjoyed gardening, dancing, and baking. She was an adoring grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by a daughter, Noreen Waters and her husband John of Danvers, a grandson, Bill Waters and his wife Andria of Salem, and two great-granddaughters, Ella and Kaiya Waters.
Her Funeral Service will be Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011 at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will precede the service from 10-11AM. Donations in Louise’s memory may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
