Phyllis M. (Manupelli) Lucantoni passed away on January 15, 2011. She was 90 years old.
Born and raised in Malden, Phyllis had lived in Melrose for the past 15 years. She was the devoted wife of Romeo Lucantoni, her husband of 48 years. Phyllis had worked at Lewis Candy and was a meat cutter at Mal’s Supermarket for many years. She was also a past owner of the Neighborhood Store of Winchester.
Phyllis was the beloved mother of Jean Ann Paglia of Danvers and her late husband Louis and Joyce Saggese of Melrose. She was the dear sister of Elvera and Mary Manupelli and the late Oscar, Albina, Domenic and Archie Manupelli. Phyllis was the cherished grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday, January 20th at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Wednesday, January 19th from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
