Raymond Bill Doty, 84, Clarksville, died Sunday, January 16, 2011, at his residence. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Resthaven Memorial Garden Chapel with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Entombment will be in Resthaven Mausoleum with full military honors. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born January 28, 1926 in Rolfe, Iowa son of the late Roy M. Doty and Minnie Kober Doty. He was also preceded in death by a step-son James Howard Suiter, a brother Shirley Doty, and three sisters, Lula Belle Morey, Ella Mae Proctor, and Donna Jean Butler. Mr. Doty was retired from the US Army and served during WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He was a member of the 503rd PRCT Airborne. Survivors include his wife Bettie Paul Doty, brother, John Doty, and sisters, Betty Shank and Nancy Brandt.
