MAZZIO, Eric A., Sr.- Of Revere, formerly of Chelsea, January 15th. Devoted father of Eric A. Mazzio, Jr., Patricia Mazzio and Harold Mazzio all of Woburn. Beloved brother of Joanne Nichols and her husband Anthony of N. Woodstock, NH, Debra Buscanera and her husband James of Revere, Michael Mazzio and his wife Mona of Danvers, Gail Mazzio and her companion Steven Pinksten of Revere, Stacey Menjin and her husband James of South Boston. Also lovingly survived by his grandson Eric A. Mazzio, III as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Thursday, January 20th at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Rose Church, 600 Broadway, Chelsea at 9 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. A resident of Chelsea for most of his life, Eric, at 50 years of age, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston late Saturday night, surrounded by his loving and devoted family after a long and courageous battle with diabetes. A Red Cap for Amtrak for 20 years, he also worked for the Boston Flower Exchange on Albany Street in Boston for over 25 years. His life was devoted his work, his family and his friends and his passing will leave a void that will be hard to fill.
