Constance E. (Browne) Drauschke, a lifelong resident of Medford and beloved wife of the late Paul W. Drauschke, Jr., died at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, on Thursday evening, January 13, 2011. She was 88 years old.
Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, on April 20, 1922, she was the beloved daughter of the late Merrill and Elizabeth (Poore) Browne. Mrs. Drauschke was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Medford and a member of the Red Hats. She loved the ocean and animals, especially birds and her dog, Beamer. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.
She will be sorely missed by her loving children; Paul W. and his wife Yvonne M. Drauschke of Saco, Maine, Frederick M. and his wife Barbara J. Drauschke of Melrose, Ronald B. Drauschke of Medford and Elizabeth “Betsy” A. and her husband Kenneth J. Burns of Medford, daughter-in-law; Debra A. Drauschke of Reading, five grandchildren; Kurt, Mark, Craig, Kristy and Erik. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins and was the mother of the late Carl B. Drauschke.
Her funeral service was celebrated in the First Baptist Church, 37 Oakland Street, Medford, Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at 11 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Visiting hours were held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Monday, January 17, 2011, from 3 to 7 PM. Interment was private.
