Obituary

Plympton – Helen (Appleford) Braddock 89, a thirty eight year resident of Plympton, died Friday January 14 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Norman Braddock.

Born and raised in Whitman she was the daughter of the late George and Bessie (Gardner) Appleford and a graduate of Whitman High School and for two years she had attended the Brockton School of Business.

In her younger years Helen loved gardening and later in life stayed active in line dancing.

She is survived by her loving children Norma Braddock of Plympton, Glen Braddock of Plympton, Wayne Braddock of Kingston, and Linda Wells of NH, her sisters Vivian Mann of Weymouth, Jean Lindgren of Middleboro and Lois Thomas of Florida, as well as 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday January 20 at 1 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Central Cemetery, Halifax. Visiting hours will be held one hour prior to the service from 12 – 1 PM.
