Ruby Smith, 91, of Fitzgerald died Friday, January 14, 2011,at the Osceola Nursing Home in Ocilla.
Graveside services will be held 4 P.M. Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Dorminy Mill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Clayton Dowd officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Saturday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Smith was born July 11, 1919 in Coffee County to the late Byrd F. and Mandy Boykin Hutchinson. She lived in Fitzgerald most of her life. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant. Mrs. Smith enjoyed embroidery, quilting and cooking.
She is survived by Daughters: Myrtle Jones, Lois (Lamar) Yancey and Frankie L. Manning, all of Fitzgerald and Sheila (Richard) Massey of Ashburn, GA; Son, John Smith of Colstrip, Montana; 19 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, 2 grand daughters, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
