Obituary

NEW BEDFORD — Annie Wooler Marginson, age 85, of New Bedford, died Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of Thomas Marginson.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John and Agnes Larsen Wooler, she lived most of her life in New Bedford and graduated from N. B. High School. She worked at the office at Morse Twist Drill, Ted Johnson's Restaurant, and the City Solicitor's office in New Bedford from which she retired after many years.

She enjoyed travelling, playing whist, and square dancing. A member of the Acushnet Wesley United Methodist Church, she also was active with Agawan Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Ladies Auxiliary of Amvets, Post One American Legion and the AARP.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Thomas J. Marginson and his wife, Kathy of New Bedford; a grandson, Jonathan Marginson of Fairhaven; a sister, Helen Tripp of Westport; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was the mother of the late Melissa Ann Marginson; and sister of the late Grace McConville.

Visitation will take place Friday from 5-8 p.m., in the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., NB. Her service will be at the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery
